Andrew "Andy" Beltrami was a character in the film Friday the 13th Part III in which he is played by Jeffery Rogers.
He is the 15th victim of Jason Voorhees.
Biography
In 1984, Andy travels with a group of his friends to Higgins Haven, a resort at Crystal Lake. His group includes his roommate, Shelly Finkelstein, and his girlfriend, Debra Klein, whom he impregnated before the movie's events. At the resort, Andy thwarts Shelly's prank attempt to make it seem like he's been gruesomely murdered by tickling him. Later, Andy amuses himself by doing handstands, and dropping a yo-yo inches from Debbie's face while she is sunbathing. Later that night, he and Shelly partake in a juggling contest. Debbie walks up to Andy and tells him there are better things he could be doing with his hands. Andy forfeits the contest and leaves Shelly to his juggling while he and Debbie go upstairs. They have sex in Chris Higgins' old room for some time until Debbie gets up to take a shower. Andy handstands his way into the bathroom, asking if she wants a beer, to which she accepts. Andy answers Debbie with his last line "Yeah?" when she asks him if he's still out there. He is then killed screaming in horror when Jason Voorhees walks up to him while he handstands, and slices him in half with his machete.
Trivia
- Andy had been a posthumous father as a result of being murdered. This was the first time this was shown on screen, as an earlier script for the second film had Alice finding out she was pregnant, but unknown if the father was either Steve or Bill.
- In the beta version, his death scene showed his right leg and stomach being cut apart on-screen. It was censored by the request of the MPAA.
